Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap then spoke about the public's reaction. He said, "If audiences had come for the first part, the second part wouldn't have been released in theaters. And since most of the feedback was that the film felt incomplete, it was decided to give them the complete experience."

Anurag Kashyap did not do marketing because of this

Anurag Kashyap also elaborated on the marketing limitations of existing theatrical and streaming agreements. He explained, "There was no marketing possible due to the theater-OTT rule. Theaters aren't allowed to promote or release a film anywhere for eight weeks, and OTT has to do its part. It's another matter that theaters themselves don't follow this. If a film doesn't release, they cancel shows and pull it out, preventing word of mouth. They treat non-tent-pole films the same way. It's very one-sided, and throughout my career, I've seen my films rejected by the exhibitors themselves. We were fortunate to have a studio that also owns a streaming platform, producing and supporting our film."
