AICWA Slams Fawad Khan: The Indian armed forces responded to the Pahalgam terror attack on May 7 by carrying out surgical strikes on nine terrorist hideouts, four of which were in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). While this attack, named 'Operation Sindoor', has been praised by Indians and global citizens, Pakistani artists are furious after India's Operation Sindoor. Many Pakistani artists like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Hania Aamir posted anti-India posts and condemned the terrorist attack. Now reacting to the posts of these artists, the Indian Cine Association has made it clear that no one will work with Pakistani artists, and they are completely banned in our country.

All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) Strongly Condemns Anti-India Statements by Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan

Let us tell you that AICWA targeted Pakistan stars on its Twitter account and said, "All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly condemns the anti-India statements made by Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and actor Fawad Khan, who have openly criticized India and questioned the nation's actions in defense of its sovereignty. Mahira Khan called India's military response a 'deeply cowardly' act, while Fawad Khan, instead of condemning terrorism, focused on criticizing India's stance and supporting divisive narratives."
AICWA said this
The AICWA association said that these comments are not only derogatory but a direct insult to the sacrifices of Indian soldiers and innocent people killed in terrorism. It reiterated its stand on a complete ban against any Pakistani talent in the Indian entertainment industry. "These statements are not only derogatory to our country but also an insult to the countless innocent lives lost due to terrorism and the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country. AICWA reaffirms its strict and complete ban on Pakistani artists, filmmakers, and financiers working in India. No Indian artiste will work with any Pakistani talent, nor share any global platform with them".
"Stop supporting Pakistani artistes"- AICWA
Along with this, AICWA said that Pakistani artists openly raise the slogan "Pakistan Zindabad" and stand firmly with their country; it is time for the Indian film industry to understand that blindly supporting these artists in the name of "art" is a betrayal of national pride. Some people in our industry continue to show sympathy and support to Pakistani artists, ignoring the sentiments of our country. AICWA urges these people to stop supporting those who openly insult India. This is not just about art - it is about standing with your country during critical moments. Our nation should come first.
AICWA condemned Pakistani artists
AICWA strongly condemns the filmmakers, producers and actors of the film “Abir Gulaal” for casting Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the film despite the Pulwama attack in which several Indian soldiers were martyred. What message do such filmmakers want to send? They came to India to release this film and completely disregarded the sentiments of the country. This is an insult to the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers. AICWA urges all stakeholders of the Indian film industry, including Bollywood and regional industries, to respect this ban and prioritise national interest over any so-called “artistic collaboration”. Indian artists and filmmakers must decide whether they will stand with their country or continue to associate with those who openly oppose it.
