Padma Awards 2025: Ajith Kumar, Arijit Singh, Shekhar Kapur Honoured by President

Padma Awards 2025: The Padma Awards 2025 were held on Monday, 28 April 2025, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Indian celebrities from across the country attended the ceremony to receive their Padma awards. Celebrities like Nandamuri Balakrishna, Ajith Kumar, Shekhar Kapur, Arijit Singh, and Ricky Kej received awards from President Draupadi Murmu. Pankaj Udhas was honored posthumously.

Let us tell you that Nandamuri Balakrishna wore traditional clothes of Andhra Pradesh to receive Padma Bhushan, while Ajith Kumar came wearing a suit for the same honor. Shekhar Kapoor and Shobhana also received Padma Bhushan, while Pankaj Udhas's wife accepted the award in his honor. After receiving Padma Bhushan, Shekhar Kapoor expressed his happiness on Instagram and wrote, "This medal is one of the biggest honors of my life. Yesterday, I was honored with Padma Bhushan by the President of India. Thanks to the Government of India for considering me worthy of this"

These awards were announced in January, for which Ajith Kumar expressed his happiness and said, "I am very humbled and honored to receive the prestigious Padma Award from the President of India. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable President of India Mrs. Draupadi Murmu and the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, for this prestigious honor. It is a privilege for me to receive recognition at this level and I am truly grateful for this generous acknowledgement of my contribution to our nation".

Arijit Singh received the Padma Shri Award

The names of many singers are also included in the list of Padma award winners. This list includes the names of legendary singers like Arijit Singh. Arijit Singh was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his important contribution. Apart from him, the names of singer Jaswinder Narula and Ricky Rays are also included in it, who have been given the Padma award.

Violinist Lakshminarayanan Subramaniam awarded Padma Vibhushan

Violinist Lakshminarayan Subramaniam was awarded the Padma Vibhushan by President Draupadi Murmu. This award has been given to him for his outstanding contribution to the field of art. His wife, and famous singer Kavita Krishnamurthy, was also present at the ceremony. After receiving the award, Subramaniam told ANI, "I am very happy. This honor is not only mine but of all violinists because for the first time a violinist has received the Padma Vibhushan. Music has given me everything".
