Param Sundari Postponed to Avoid Clash with Saiyaara, New Date Soon

The release date of the much-awaited romantic drama 'Param Sundari' starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor has been pushed. The film was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on July 25, but now it will be released on a new date. Earlier, it was believed that the reason for this delay was a possible clash with Ajay Devgn's film 'Son of Sardar 2', but now it has come to light that there is another important reason behind it-the crowded release calendar of romantic films.

In such a situation, the makers took this decision fearing that 'Param Sundari' might get lost amidst the continuous love stories. According to a source, "'Param Sundari' has its own identity. The makers do not want this film to get lost in the crowd of other romantic dramas. They feel that a little delay will get the film more attention and the right audience."

Currently, 'Param Sundari' is scheduled to release on August 29 or September 5. This time slot is considered more favorable at the box office, as by then the flood of big romantic films will have subsided a bit. According to sources, "A new promotional song will be shot soon, in which Siddharth Malhotra will be seen. He will shoot this song after getting free from his personal commitments and after handling the responsibility of becoming a father."
