Bollywood's showman Raj Kapoor was one of the most celebrated filmmakers of his time. Today, the country is celebrating its 100th birth anniversary. Paying tribute to this great man of cinema, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the help of X to honor his legacy.

A grant program is being organized on the 100th birth anniversary of Raj Kapoor

A grand event is being organized in Mumbai to commemorate the centenary of Raj Kapoor on 14 December 2024. On this occasion, all the members of the Kapoor family, including Randhir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and others, will come together to pay tribute to this great filmmaker. The event will be attended by many prominent personalities in the industry, including Rekha, Jeetendra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

Raj Kapoor's famous films will be shown at this festival

The festival will screen 10 of Raj Kapoor's most iconic films in 135 theatres across 40 cities, including PVR-INOX and Cinepolis theatres. Films like 'Aag', 'Barsaat', 'Awara', 'Shri 420', 'Jaagte Raho', 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai', 'Sangam', 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Bobby' and 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili' will be screened during the festival. The event not only honors Raj Kapoor's unparalleled contribution to Indian cinema but also brings together the legends of the film industry to celebrate the magic of films that have been passed down through generations.
