Every day new updates are coming out in the case of the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Now a woman has entered the case. Now the Mumbai Police team has reached West Bengal to question the woman in connection with the investigation.
Police arrested the woman
Let us tell you that the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case took a new turn on Monday evening when the police found out the owner of the SIM card which was being used by the accused Shariful Islam. Now the Mumbai Police has traced the identity of the SIM card which is believed to be with a woman living in West Bengal, who has insisted that her mobile phone has been missing for several days.
Bangladeshi citizen turned out to be the accused
The investigation began three days after the incident when the Mumbai Police arrested a man named Vijay Das, later identified as Shariful Islam, who was living under a pseudonym. As the investigation progressed, the police revealed that they found out that he was a Bangladeshi national who had crossed the border to India in search of better opportunities and was living under different identities.
The accused was in contact with the family for a long time
Recently, he claimed that the accused spent a lot of time in West Bengal and decided to get a new number to stay in touch with his family in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, he soon moved to Mumbai for a job and kept doing odd jobs to avoid showing documents. To gather evidence, the police arrested Shariful during an investigation in the adjoining Nadia and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal.
Saif was attacked on 16 January
Let us tell you that Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his house in Mumbai on the morning of January 16. It was told that at around 2 o'clock in the night, the actor heard a noise when one of his female employees was attacked in Jeh's room. Saif intervened, which led to a dispute between the two, and the attacker injured both Saif and the female employee. The Bollywood star was stabbed six times by the robber. Due to this Saif suffered serious injuries to his neck and spine. After this, Saif reached Lilavati Hospital by auto, where he underwent surgery and treatment. However, the actor was discharged on January 21 and is recovering.
