R Madhavan To Quit Romantic Films: Bollywood actor R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer 'Aap Jaisa Koi' has been released on Netflix on July 11. This romantic drama is getting a lot of love and appreciation from the audience. In a recent interview, R Madhavan revealed the real reason behind saying yes to 'Aap Jaisa Koi'.

In fact, in an interview with Just to Filmy, R Madhavan was asked about the real reason behind his decision to act in 'Aap Jaisa Koi'. He replied, "When I started this story, I thought I would be able to present a romantic story in that day and age. Because I was looking for a romance according to age. Maybe this is my last chance to do romance before I leave it completely."

The story of 'Someone like you' (Aap Jaisa Koi Story)

Aap Jaisa Koi revolves around R Madhavan (Madhu) and Fatima Sana Shaikh (Sree Renu). Aap Jaisa Koi begins with R Madhavan's role as Sri Renu Tripathi, a bachelorette Sanskrit teacher looking for a partner and female companion. Her class is full of students who are aware of their teacher's loneliness, and Sri also has a friend who has a typical MCP mindset. The film gets even more interesting when Fatima Sana Shaikh enters as Madhu Bose, a French teacher from Kolkata who belongs to a joint family and is described as a 'good girl'. The film then goes into fast-forward mode where they meet, fall in love, overcome insecurities, and exchange rings. And that's when everything starts to go wrong. Not only do things go wrong between the two, but they also break up over a petty issue.

Let us tell you that 'Aap Jaisa Koi' is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra of Dharmatic Entertainment and directed by Vivek Soni. Apart from R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aap Jaisa Koi also stars Ayesha Raza, Manish Chaudhary, and Namit Das. Aap Jaisa Koi will premiere on Netflix on July 11.
