Rahul Dev Breaks Silence on Mukul Dev Death Rumours, Says 'He Lost Will to Live'

Rahul Dev recalls brother Mukul Dev's last days: Actor Mukul Dev, famous for his work in Hindi, Punjabi and South films as well as television, died on May 24. The actor's sudden death shocked the industry, various speculations started being made about the reasons for his death. At the same time, actor Rahul Dev has revealed the reason behind the death of his brother Mukul Dev.

Rahul Dev talked about Mukul's death

In fact, in an interview, Rahul Dev told the reason behind his brother Mukul's death, "He was in the ICU for eight and a half days. Medically, it was the result of poor eating habits. For the last four-five days, he had stopped eating and drinking completely. Of course, he felt lonely and his will to live was gone. He turned down many work offers. Now, after completing all the rituals, the reality is setting in and I know the pain will be deeper".

Rahul spoke on Mukul's struggle with depression 

While after Mukul's death, many reports claimed that he was suffering from depression, but Rahul dismissed these speculations. Reacting to the reports, Rahul Dev said, "Those who are speaking now were not even in touch with him. They say he was unfit, but he ran a half marathon. Yes, he had gained weight. When someone stops caring about himself, it shows... Who really kept in touch with him between 2019 and 2024? Did they visit him while he was hospitalized or attend his prayer meetings?"

Along with this, Rahul Dev wants people to remember Mukul as a thoughtful and intelligent person. He said, "I do not want to remember Mukul as a person who disappeared, but as a super charming, intelligent and sensitive person who he really was".
