The film will be directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, known for Punjabi hits like Kismat, Kismat 2 and Shadaa. This is Sidhu's first film as a director in Bollywood, though he has previously contributed as a dialogue writer for Saand Ki Aankh and Shrikant.

Agastya Nanda made his debut with Netflix's The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, which also stars Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. After receiving praise for his performance, he will next be seen in Twenty One, in which he stars alongside Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. Directed by Shriram Raghavan, the film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Produced by Maddock Films, further details about the project have been kept under wraps.
