Ramayana Latest Update: Addinath Kothare Confirmed to Play Bharat in Epic Drama

Latest News: Ramayana Latest Update: Director Nitesh Tiwari's mythological film Ramayana is one of the most awaited films of Hindi cinema. In this film, actor Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Shri Ram. At the same time, now news is coming that Addinath Kothare will play the role of Bharat in Ramayana. Not only this, the actor confirmed to be a part of the film and said that this film is one of the biggest projects of Indian cinema till date.

Adinath Kothare on playing Bharat in Ramayana

In fact, while talking about playing the role of Bharat in Ramayana, Adinath Kothare said, "It is a blessing, friend. This is the biggest film made on Indian soil. It is one of the biggest films made worldwide today. To be a part of it, I am really grateful to Mukesh Chhabra. He cast me, and also Nitesh sir, who chose me for the role of Bharat. And also Namit Malhotra sir, who believed in me and entrusted me with such a big responsibility."

Nitesh Tiwari started writing scripts 10 years ago

Impressed by the dedication of the makers, Adinath Kothare revealed, "They are very clear about their vision. Their plans are well-planned. They have spent almost 10 years in the pre-production of this project. Nitesh sir started writing the script of Ramayan around 2016 or 17. Apart from this, Namit sir, Prime Focus and Nitesh sir are working on VFX and I think pre-production had started even before the lockdown."

Adinath Kothare considers himself lucky

Calling the film a masterclass in production planning, Adinath Kothare said, "I think this is one of the most well planned cinema on Indian soil. We are lucky to have seen it up close. And I am really lucky to have got this opportunity in such a big film, not just as an actor, filmmaker and human being, but also to see this huge scale of filmmaking. No film school can teach you this. When I heard the script I was stunned. Now, the performances, the production values, the VFX and the details. It's all icing on the cake. Frankly, it's one of the best scripts I've ever read."

For your information, let us tell you that apart from Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama in 'Ramayana', Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita, while Yash has confirmed that he will play the role of the powerful Ravana. The film also stars Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal in the role of Mandodari and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthra, Arun Govil and Indira Krishnan. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first installment of Ramayana is set for a grand release on Diwali 2026, with the sequel releasing on Diwali 2027.
