Ranbir Kapoor talks about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-awaited epic, Love and War, is garnering a lot of buzz thanks to its stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his collaboration with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. During this, he said that he was 'extremely excited' to work with him again.

In fact, during the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Ranbir Kapoor said, "I am very excited. He is my godfather. Whatever I know about films, whatever I know about acting, I have learned it all from him."

Ranbir has worked with Bhansali before

For Ranbir Kapoor, working with veteran director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is nothing new. He had earlier worked as an assistant director in his film Black (2005) and then made his acting debut in Saawariya (2007). Ranbir said, "He hasn't changed at all. He is very hardworking. He only thinks about his films. He only wants to talk about the character, he wants you to make something different, do something different."

'Love and War' was announced in January 2024

The official announcement of the film 'Love and War' was made in January 2024. Sharing the message on Instagram, it was written, "We bring you Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic saga 'Love and War'. See you at the movies in Christmas 2025." It also included the signatures of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. At the same time, this much-awaited film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal will hit the theaters on 20 March 2026. The special thing is that at the time of the release of 'Love and War', many big festivals like Ram Navami, Ramza,n and Gudi Padwa are falling, due to which this film will be able to get the full benefit of the holidays.

Alia will work with Bhansali once again

Meanwhile, Love and War is the second pairing of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia after 2022's Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia won the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film. Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. The sequel to the film is already in the works. The actor is currently shooting for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan, which also stars Sai Pallavi and Yash.
