Saif Ali Khan Attack Case Update: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder who came with the intention of theft in January this year. The accused of attacking the actor, Mohammad Shariful Islam, is in police custody. At the same time, the accused Shariful Islam is trying every possible way to get out of jail. At the same time, the accused of stabbing Saif Ali Khan filed an application in a Mumbai court on Friday, May 9, demanding that his arrest be declared illegal. The accused demanded to be released from jail in front of the court

For your information, let us tell you that the 30-year-old accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam, on Friday withdrew his bail plea filed last month before the Mumbai Sessions Court. Later, the accused filed an application before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (Bandra) through his lawyer Ajay Gawli, seeking to declare his arrest illegal and release him from jail. His petition states that the accused has been arrested illegally as the investigating agency has "clearly and grossly violated" Section 47 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS).

Hearing of the case postponed till May 13

The petition claimed that the police did not give the accused in writing all the details of the crime he was accused of. The petition said that no relevant record was available to show compliance with these mandatory provisions. The court asked the police to file a reply and adjourned the hearing of the case till May 13.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked on 16 January 2025

Let us tell you that Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his house in Mumbai on the morning of January 16. It was said that at around 2 o'clock in the night, the actor heard a noise when one of his female employees was attacked in Jeh's room. Saif intervened, which led to a dispute between the two (Saif Stabbing Case). The attacker stabbed Saif six times. Due to which Saif suffered serious injuries to his neck and spine. After this, Saif reached Lilavati Hospital by auto, where he underwent surgery and treatment. However, Saif Ali Khan was discharged on January 21.
