Sardaar Ji 3 Row: FWICE Urges Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh to Revoke Border 2 Shoot Permission

There is a lot of uproar (Sardaar ji 3 Controversy) over casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming film 'Sardar ji 3'. The 'Sardar ji 3' controversy is affecting Diljit Dosanjh's films. FWICE i.e. Federation of Western India Cine Employees, has strongly opposed Diljit Dosanjh working in the upcoming film 'Border 2'. Recently, the organization has requested Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah to withdraw the permission given for shooting the film in NDA.

FWICE made this demand in a letter written to the Union Home Minister regarding Border 2 

In fact, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, saying, "We are writing to you with deep concern about the shooting permission reportedly given to the production team of the film 'Border 2' at the National Defense Academy (NDA) campus in Pune". 

FWICE demanded a ban on Diljit

At the same time, FWICE mentioned that it has decided to officially boycott Diljit Dosanjh, who is working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming film 'Sardar Ji 3'. He wrote in the letter, "It is important to bring to your notice that the said film (Border 2) stars Diljit Dosanjh, who has been officially boycotted by FWICE, as he has been associated with individuals and content that have deeply insulted Indian sentiments, particularly by associating with Pakistani artists known for their anti-India views and participating in a project filmed at sensitive border locations like Pahalgam so soon after the terrorist incidents targeting our armed forces".

FWICE further said, “The NDA, a national symbol of military training and sacrifice, should not be used as the backdrop for a film involving an actor who is currently subject to public and professional boycott due to acts that undermine the spirit of national unity and hurt the sentiments of our defence community”. In this regard, FWICE asked the Union Ministers to withdraw the permission for shooting Border 2 to “ensure that the integrity of sensitive defence establishments is not compromised or associated with individuals facing legitimate public outrage”.

Let us tell you that 'Border 2' also stars actors like Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, along with Diljit Dosanjh. On June 24 and 25, another letter was sent to T-Series chairman Bhushan Kumar, director Imtiaz Ali, and actor-producer Sunny Deol, stating that Dosanjh's casting should be 'considered and reconsidered'. Amid the 'Sardar Ji 3' controversy, FWICE has officially boycotted Diljit Dosanjh. In its argument, the organization has claimed that associating with a Pakistani actress after the April 22 Pahalgam attack is disrespectful to "Indian sentiments".
