Shahid Kapoor-Pooja Hegde starrer 'Deeva' release date changed?

After the success that Shahid Kapoor has achieved with his Valentine's Day release Teri Baatein Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya in 2024, it was expected that the actor would return to the theatres again on the same occasion in 2025. It was being said that the actor will be seen in the action film Deva which will also star Pooja Hegde in the lead role. However, there is news that fans will be able to see the actor in theatres a few days earlier.

There have been changes in the release date 

While earlier the makers had claimed that they wanted to add some action to Valentine's week, it seems they have already postponed the release. However, now we hear that Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films have jointly decided that the film will release in the last week of January. Sources revealed that Deva, which is all set to provide an adrenaline rush as Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films' much-awaited high-octane action thriller, will now release in theatres on January 31, 2025. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh ​​also confirmed the news in his tweet.

For those who don't know, this action entertainer will mark Shahid Kapoor's return to theatres after almost a year. The actor will play a cop in this film and fans will also get to see his chemistry with Pooja Hegde for the first time. Also starring Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait in pivotal roles, it is directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Roshan Andrews and produced by Zee Studios and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Promising to showcase gripping performances along with a gripping storyline designed to keep the audience glued to their seats, Deva is set to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.
