Shalini Pandey's Shocking Statement on Body Shaming in the Industry

Shalini Pandey was seen in the recently released film 'Maharaj' alongside Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharvari Wagh. The actress made her debut with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy and then appeared in Ranveer Singh's Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Shalini Pandey, who is enjoying the success of Maharaj, spoke openly about body shaming in the film industry.

Actually, Shalini Pandey spoke openly about body shaming in the film industry. She said, "At that time I really faced body shaming. Also, since I was new and in the South, I did not understand the language, and my manager at that time used to take advantage of my ignorance and make me do something or the other. I constantly tried to understand what people wanted from me". She said how she faced body shaming and being a person who has always been into sports, she has an athletic body. Even now, people body shame me".

Shalini Pandey ran away from home to act

Along with this, Shalini Pandey had revealed that she had run away from home to act. She said, "My father wanted me to do engineering. I even tried, but I could not do it. And my father did not agree to allow me to act. I tried to convince my father for four years and finally decided to run away. Now it seems like a joke, but at that time it was very difficult. So I ran away. When I finally reached Mumbai, I had no place to go. Even though two of my friends lived in the city, I could not stay at their house for some reason. Because of this, I had to live with boys. Later those boys eventually became my family".
