Sharvari had auditioned for Alpha before Munjya, said- 'I don't know...'

Actress Sharvari Wagh, who won the hearts of fans with the horror comedy film Munjya, is being discussed everywhere these days. After this film, Sharvari will be seen in Alpha with Alia Bhatt. Currently, the shooting of the film is going on. Meanwhile, Sharvari Wagh said that for this she had to undergo an extensive action audition.

This is how Sharvari Wagh got Alpha

In fact, Sharvari Wagh revealed how she got the film and how she didn't even know that she was auditioning for Alpha until much later. The actress recalled that, "I remember I had just finished Maharaj and I was doing some other projects. I met Adi (Aditya Chopra) sir and he wanted to audition me in the action space. So, I gave an extensive action audition. I went to an action class and trained for two months. I didn't know what the name of the film was. All I knew was that it was part of an audition for which I had to train".

Alia underwent rigorous training for Alpha 

Talking about her rigorous training, the actress said, "At that time, from Monday to Saturday, I used to train for two to three hours every day. I was also trying to find out what kind of gymnastics movements, boxing, and strength training I could do. It was basically an overview of action training. I used to record like an audition tape at the end of every month and show it to Adi, sir. I kept talking to the trainers so that I could try something different and new in the tape".

Sharvari spoke about the audition for Alpha

Sharvari Wagh further added that she started auditioning for Alpha even before she began shooting for the first schedule of Munjya. "After that, I started working on Munjya and I had to start preparing for another film altogether. These rounds of auditions began even before I began shooting for Munjya. After that, the conversations slowed down a bit and later, I got to know that this audition process was for Alpha" 

YRF spy film is Alpha

The film is directed by Shiv Rawail and stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the role of super-agents along with Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. This is the first action film starring two women in the YRF spy universe. Interestingly, this is one of the very few female-led action thrillers in the Hindi film industry.
