Snake Venom Case: Elvish Yadav Gets Relief as SC Stays Legal Proceedings

Snake Venom Case: 'Bigg Boss OTT 2' winner and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav remains in the news every day for some reason or the other. At the same time, Elvish Yadav has been surrounded by cases related to drugs and snake venom in rave parties for a long time. Meanwhile, news is coming that Elvish Yadav has got a big relief in the snake venom smuggling case. The Supreme Court has banned the arrest of Elvish in the snake venom smuggling case.

Elvish Yadav gets relief in snake venom case

Let us tell you that on Wednesday, August 6, the Supreme Court, while hearing the snake venom case, stayed the lower court proceedings against YouTuber Elvish Yadav. A bench of Justices MM Sundaresh and Joymalya Bagchi was hearing an appeal filed by Elvish Yadav against the Allahabad High Court order in which his petition was dismissed. The apex court issued notice to the Uttar Pradesh government and complainant Gaurav Gupta. The chargesheet claims that people, even foreigners, consume snake venom for entertainment at "rave" parties. At the same time, Elvish Yadav's lawyer had clarified in the High Court that no snake, narcotic or psychotropic substance was found from him, except that no causal relationship was established between the applicant and the co-accused.

Elvish Yadav was arrested in the year 2024

Mr Yadav was arrested by the Noida police in connection with the case in March last year. The YouTuber's lawyer had argued in the High Court that no snake, narcotic or psychotropic substance was recovered from him, except that no causal link was established between the applicant and the co-accused. Although the informant is no longer an animal welfare officer, he had still filed an FIR claiming himself to be an animal welfare officer.
