Sonu Nigam gave this controversial statement

Recently, Bengaluru police issued a notice to Sonu to appear for investigation within a week after an FIR was registered by Avalahalli police station of Bengaluru rural district. Sonu Nigam said at a music event held in Bengaluru, "I did not like that there was a boy who was not even his age before I was singing Kannada songs. He was threatening me so badly, 'Kannada, Kannada'. This is the reason for what happened in Pahalgam, right? This is the reason for what you are doing, what you did just now? Look who is standing in front. I love Kannada people, I love you guys". This statement of the singer gave rise to controversy on social media.
