Tanvi: The Great: Army Chief Watches Anupam Kher’s Film, Veteran Actor Expresses Gratitude

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been in the news for quite some time for his film 'Tanvi: The Great'. Anupam Kher organized a special screening of his film 'Tanvi The Great' in New Delhi, in which Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and other senior officers participated. Shubhangi, who plays the lead role of Tanvi, was also present at the screening.

Let us tell you that during the special screening of Tanvi the Great, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi praised the film for portraying the soft side of uniformed personnel in a realistic manner. At the same time, General Dwivedi has recommended the screening of Tanvi the Great in every cantonment and said that this film is really worth watching.

Anupam Kher shared a video on Instagram in which he thanked everyone after the screening. Sharing the video, the veteran actor wrote, "The proudest moment of my life: Had the privilege of screening 'Tanvi The Great' for Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, First Lady Sunita ji, high-ranking military officers and their families in Delhi last night. Their applause, standing ovation, charming smiles, and some tears were the biggest gift of my life. The Army Chief's speech and his suggestion to all military personnel to watch our film was the biggest tribute to 'Tanvi The Great'. Thank you, respected sir, for the respect, love, and appreciation for me and the entire team. Last night was definitely one of the biggest moments of my life and career! Jai Hind". 

Anupam Kher is excited to show the film to President Draupadi Murmu

Let us tell you that President Draupadi Murmu will attend the special screening of Anupam Kher-directed 'Tanvi the Great' at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Center before the official release of the film. Talking to IANS about the special screening for the President, Anupam Kher said, "We are very excited because I think the President is a symbol of being different, but no less than anyone. I mean, where did she come from? And today, she has the biggest chair in our country, and her stature is very big. I think it is very amazing". Debutant actress Shubhangi, who plays Tanvi, Karan Tacker, Boman Irani, co-writers Ankur and Abhishek, and technical members of the film will also be present at the screening.

'Tanvi: The Great' will be released on 18 July

The film 'Tanvi The Great' marks the debut of Shubhangi and features an impressive ensemble cast including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker and Nasser, Anupam Kher, and Ian Glen. Directed by Anupam Kher, the upcoming emotional drama bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar-led Excel Entertainment is set to release in cinemas worldwide on 18th July 2025.
