According to media reports, he breathed his last at his home on March 11, 2024. Hearing this news, there is a wave of mourning in the entire industry.

If we talk about the director's personal life, he married Tamil actress Kalyani after dating her for many years, but after a few years of marriage, both of them got divorced and separated forever. Surya Kiran and Kalyani also do not have children.

Surya Kiran's film career

Surya Kiran was a popular name in the Telugu film industry. He started his career as a child artist in the 1978 Malayalam film Snehikkan oru pennu. However, after this, he worked in more than 200 feature films. Apart from being an actor, Kiran made his directorial debut with the Telugu romantic drama 'Satyam'. Later, he directed several other films including 'Brahmastram' (2006), 'Raju Bhai' (2007) and 'Chapter 6' (2010). Surya also participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4. However, he was the first contestant to be eliminated from the reality show.
