Sharmajee Ki Beti trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap is in the news for her directorial debut film 'Sharmaji Ki Beti'. The film stars Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles. Today, on June 19, 2024, the trailer of the film 'Sharmaji Ki Beti' has been released, which gives a glimpse of the lives of three women who fight various social battles every day.

Three women were seen fighting different social battles

The trailer begins with a brief introduction of the three main characters. It begins with Jyoti Sharma (Sakshi Tanwar), a teacher living a middle-class life while struggling to make ends meet and taking care of a teenage daughter who is self-conscious about her looks and wavy hair. Next, we meet Kiran Sharma (Divya Dutta), who has recently moved to Mumbai from Patiala. She is struggling with the shameless attitude of the big city people and craves attention from her busy husband who has no interest in her. Lastly, there is Tanvi Sharma (Saiyaami Kher), a cricketer, struggling to convince her boyfriend that her ambitions go beyond marriage. As they face these pressures, they learn to fight their fears and live life on their own terms.

Tahira Kashyap Khurana spoke about Sharmaji's daughter 

Talking about Sharmaji Ki Beti, writer and director of the film Tahira Kashyap Khurrana said, “Sharmaji Ki Beti is a dream come true for me. The film is special to me not only because it marks my directorial debut but also because it gives me the opportunity to explore a subject very close to my heart - women's empowerment. The light-hearted, humorous story highlights the everyday struggles, triumphs and varied experiences of middle-class women. Each character represents a part of my own journey, making it deeply personal."

The film will be released on June 28

Presented by Applause Entertainment and produced by Ellipsis Entertainment, the film is written and directed by actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap. Sharmaji Ki Beti also stars actors Sharib Hashmi, Parvin Dabas, and Vanshika Taparia in pivotal roles. It will be released on Amazon Prime Video on June 28.
