Sonakshi Sinha is married to Zaheer Iqbal on 23 June 2024. The wedding was attended by close friends and family members. In a recent interview, the couple revealed what was her father Shatrughan Sinha's reaction when he came to know about her relationship with Zaheer.

Let us tell you that Zaheer Iqbal said, "I went to his house and I was very nervous because till that moment I had never spoken to him (Shatrughan Sinha) face to face. The moment we started talking, we talked about a lot of things and we became like friends. Of course, I also told him that I wanted to ask her (Sonakshi Sinha) for marriage. I know he has an image of an intimidating person, but he is very genuine, calm and he is a very sweet person whom I have met after a long time".

 Sonakshi Sinha said, "When I told my father about us, I was also very nervous. I didn't know how he would react. I was trying to play it very cool. I asked him, "Aren't you worried about my marriage because you haven't asked me anything about it?" He said, "I have asked your mother to 'ask your daughter'. Then, I told him that there was a guy named Zaheer in my life, and he said, 'Yes I also read'. He said, 'You guys have grown up. Mian biwi raji to kya karega qazi'. I thought, 'Oh, that was easy!' I realized how calm and composed my dad was. He was really supportive of our relationship".

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal registered their marriage on 23rd June after dating for seven years. After which a grand reception party was held in a luxurious hotel in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebrities attended the reception party. These include famous stars like Salman Khan, Rekha, Saira Bano, and Honey Singh.
