Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Chhava' postponed?

It was revealed some time ago that Shahid Kapoor's film Deva, which was supposed to release in the first week of February, will now release in the last week of January. Now it has been revealed that Valentine's Week and the date of February 14 has been taken by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. His ambitious historical drama film Chava starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna will release on this special day and there is a reason for this! The film may release on February 14 next year 

Changes made to the release date 

Readers would know that the much-hyped film was expected to release in December this year. However, given that the last month of 2024 is packed with multiple releases including action films like Pushpa 2: The Rule and Baby John, makers Maddock Films have decided to push the release date of Chhava. The film's release has now been moved forward by two months to February. Moreover, we hear that the particular date chosen by the makers holds significance. While it is believed that the makers will take advantage of Valentine's week, it is being said that the date is important for the story as it falls close to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti which falls on February 19

Will there not be a clash?

Vicky Kaushal's historical epic Chhava will not release on December 6, which has averted a box office clash with Allu Arjun's much-awaited film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The big box office clash between Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 and Vicky Kaushal's Chhava in December has been averted. Fans are eagerly waiting for both films, meanwhile, news is coming that both films were going to be released in the first week of December, Pushpa: The Rule was going to release on December 5, while Vicky Kaushal's historical drama was going to release on December 6.

About the film 

Readers will know that Chhava revolves around the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and is based on the book of the same name written by Shivaji Sawant. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead, the film will also see his chemistry with actress Rashmika Mandanna for the first time, as she plays his wife Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna will also return to theatres after Drishyam 2, as he will be seen in the lead role of Aurangzeb. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhava is expected to be a grand film made on a large scale and will now release on February 14. Talking about the work front, Vicky Kaushal will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Love and War'. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles.
