Vikrant Massey Breaks Silence on His 'Retirement' Rumors

Last month, Vikrant Massey's film 'The Sabarmati Report' was released, which was well received. After this, an Instagram post by Vikrant surprised everyone, in which he announced his retirement. Meanwhile, retirement Vikrant Massey asked why he announced a break from his work. The actor also said that he finally got the life he had always dreamed of.

Vikrant told the real reason for taking retirement

Let us tell you that Vikrant Massey said in his latest interview, "I have finally got the life I always dreamt of, so I thought it was time to live it. I want to take a break, because, after all, everything is fleeting, which is why I am doing only one film next year. I agree that the pressure of social media was an important part of taking a break from work. I lead a public life, and I am a marginal introvert. One has to come on social media. But if someone gives me a choice, I will come on it selectively, whenever I feel like sharing something".

Continuing his point, Vikrant Massey further said, "And then my son was born, I couldn't spend any quality time with him or with my wife. All this was happening together. So, that's why I wrote in that Instagram post that as an actor, son, father, and husband, it was time for me to reinvent myself. And after what I had done professionally, I thought, 'What else could I do as an actor in this country?' I just want to push myself as an artist".

Earlier, Vikrant made this announcement a few weeks after the release of his latest film, The Sabarmati Report. In his Instagram post, he wrote, "The last few years and the times after have been phenomenal. I thank you all for your unfailing support. But as I move forward, I realize that it is time to re-collect myself and go back home. As a husband, father and son. And also as an actor. So, in 2025, we will meet each other for the last time. Until the time feels right. Last 2 films and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything that happened in between. Forever grateful."

Vikrant Massey upcoming movie

After announcing his retirement, Vikrant Massey was spotted shooting for his upcoming film, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan with Shanaya Kapoor in Dehradun. The film will be based on romance and ghosts. The story of this project has been kept secret for now. According to reports, Santosh Singh is the director of this film.
