Vikrant Massey’s Mother Advised Him on Living with Sheetal Thakur

Vikrant Massey is in the news these days for his upcoming film 'Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba'. At the same time, Vikrant Massey married Sheetal Thakur in 2022. Not only this, the couple welcomed their son earlier this year. Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey recently spoke openly about his bond. Along with this, he recalled the advice given by his mother when he told him about his relationship with Sheetal.

Vikrant Massey dated for seven years before marriage

Let us tell you that during an interview, Vikrant Massey was asked if it is ideal to date for a long time before settling down to ensure compatibility. To which he replied, "Sheetal and I have been together for almost a decade now. We dated for about eight years before getting married. It worked for me and suited me too. Our natures were compatible with each other and our life aspirations were similar. We were together for almost the entire duration of our relationship. For about seven years".

Vikrant Massey said this about his mother

During the interview, Vikrant Massey further said that it was his mother who asked him to live in a live-in relationship before officially getting married. Talking about this, the actor said, "It was my mother who suggested that we live together. Thankfully, my parents are really progressive. My mother was born and brought up in Bombay in 1962. She has completed her high school education and she was quite progressive. She used to listen to bands like ABBA and Boney M, wear stilettos, and read books by Sidney Sheldon and Jawaharlal Nehru. So, this helped. She suggested that we live together and it worked out for us".

Vikrant Massey's mother gave him this advice

Along with this, Vikrant Massey said that living in a live-in relationship before marriage helped him put things in the right perspective. He said, "You get to see different shades of each other. For me, this is true companionship. It was love at third sight. On the third day when we met, we realized that sparks of love were flying between us and why not talk about it? There was an instant attraction between both of us. Attraction is always the first thing. You don't fall in love instantly. No one. When I say 'it was love at third sight', during the first two meetings, it was contemplation and assessment, 'Should I do this? Should I not do this?'"

The actor spoke about true love

Vikrant Massey further added that he too was naive once and confused infatuation as true love. He said, "It happens. When I was in class 7 and I had infatuation, I thought I was falling in love. Now I know what it was. But it was also beautiful and I had butterflies in my stomach. I would just keep looking at her during breaks in school and it would make me really happy. If the girl looks at you and smiles, it makes your day. But it definitely wasn't love".
