Continuing her point, Pallavi Joshi further wrote, "But the truth is under siege in West Bengal. Years before the film was completed, the Chief Minister had mocked the film. Since then, baseless FIRs have been filed, our trailer has been blocked by the police, and even newspapers avoid advertising. My family is threatened by political party workers every day. Now, theatre owners have told us that they are being threatened and are refusing to screen the film for fear of violence by ruling party workers. There is no official ban, yet an unofficial ban silences people even before they can watch the film".

Along with this, Pallavi Joshi said, "The great actor, Padma Bhushan Victor Banerjee, along with many Bengali organizations in India and abroad, have already requested you. Their support proves that truth still has allies. The Bengal Files is the call of Mother India, wounded yet unbroken, a story of survival and hope. As a woman who rose from the margins to the highest constitutional post, only you can truly understand (Pallavi Joshi Appeal To President Droupadi Murmu) what it means to endure such pain and turn it into purpose. This is the cinema of truth. But truth also needs protection. Madam President, I do not want any favor for a film, but for art, for truth, for the soul of Mother India to speak fearlessly. You are my last hope. Please protect our constitutional right and allow "The Bengal Files" to be screened peacefully in West Bengal".
