A film festival is being organized on Raj Kapoor's 100th birthday i.e. 14 December 1924. The entire Raj Kapoor family and famous personalities of the cinema world are participating in it. On Raj Kapoor's birth anniversary, let us once again remember the emotional moment when his grandson Ranbir Kapoor remembered his grandfather's rich legacy while seeking acting advice.
When Ranbir asked this question to Rishi Kapoor
In fact, during his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat in 2016, Rishi Kapoor said, "Once Ranbir called me. He asked me just once, 'Can you give me any tips for singing? I am having a lot of trouble.' I said, 'You are Raj Kapoor's grandson, Rishi Kapoor's son and you are asking me this?' He replied, 'I don't know how to do this.' I said, 'Sing so high that your heroine tells you not to sing such a good song.' This always happened to me, heroines used to tell me, 'Don't sing so out of tune', but the audience did not listen to them. They would know that Kishore Kumar or Rafi Sahab is singing. I also wanted to sing high so that it seems like I am singing."
Rishi Kapoor remembers Raj Kapoor
Along with this, Rishi Kapoor further said, "I was taught that whenever you sing, you should match the voice and pitch of the song. We often see people singing in a very high voice, while the heroes act as if they are doing a big favor while singing. Your nerves should be visible and the audience should feel that you are singing the song".
Rishi Kapoor said this
Rishi Kapoor remembered a moment when he saw how actors pretend to play instruments in films, like sitting at a piano or holding a guitar, but not actually playing it. Ever since he was young, he noticed how unrealistic these scenes looked. This inspired him to make a promise to himself that whenever he appeared in films, he would make sure it looked like he was playing an instrument.
