Opening up about his disappearance for the first time, the actor revealed that he went on a spiritual journey in April this year and initially had no plans to return. However, after his return, Gurucharan reportedly met the show's producer Asit Modi at his Mumbai office.

Went missing

Gurcharan Singh went missing in April 2024 when he left his home in Delhi for a flight to Mumbai. The actor had a flight from Delhi to Mumbai on the evening of 22 April, but he could not reach his destination. Soon after returning to his home in Delhi, the actor was questioned by the Delhi Police and his statement was recorded before a local court. In Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Gurcharan played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi.
