Yash Raj Films (YRF) has been honored by the Government of Spain for their fantastic work in promoting the culture and picturesque locations of Spain through their big-budget entertainers!

Rishabh Chopra is the first person to receive this distinction

At a glittering ceremony held during the FITUR SCREEN event at IFEMA, Madrid, Spain Film Commission officially conferred the title of Honorary Ambassador to Rishabh Chopra (Associate Vice President –Rishabh Chopra is the first person to receive this distinction Production, YRF). This prestigious honor is presented in recognition of the role of YRF and Rishabh in promoting Spain as a leading destination for international audio-visual production. Rishabh Chopra is the first person (a studio representative) to receive this distinction outside Hollywood.

This appointment joins Mr. Chopra among a distinguished group of individuals, including former US Ambassador to Spain James Costos, renowned Spanish actress Etana Sanchez-Gijon, internationally renowned actress Emily Blunt, British filmmaker Terry Gilliam, and Veronica Sullivan, Senior Vice President of NBC Universal.

According to Spain, these personalities, together with YRF, have made a significant contribution to increasing the visibility and attractiveness of Spain's audio-visual sector on the global stage. This recognition also underlines YRF's deep and growing cultural ties with Spain. The company has so far shot 2 songs of the blockbuster film 'Pathan' in this country.
