Reflecting on Lost Love: Mithun Recalls Ex-Girlfriend Amid Struggle

Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty recently participated in the reality television show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. During the program, while interacting with a contestant, the actor opened up about his experience, Mithun revealed that in the initial phase of his career when he was a struggler, he felt very sad when the girl he was in love with left him.

Taking a trip down memory lane, Mithun said, “This happened to me, I fell in love, went crazy, then one day the same thing happened, the girl left me and then time changed. I went from star to superstar and then to super superstar.

He met the girl in a Plane

He further said, “So such an incident happened that one day I was traveling in an (aero) plane and that girl who left me was also traveling, but she was avoiding my gaze. I got up and went, I asked 'Why are you not looking at me?' She turned her face away, I thought she was feeling guilty. To give her relief I told her, 'What you did at that time was right.' Mithun said that the girl became relieved after hearing his words. He explained to her that her decision to not live with someone who was struggling was the right one. However, Mithun said that the girl started crying after hearing his words.

The girl regretted leaving him in those days

The girl told Mithun, “I think I have made a mistake, I should not have done this to you at that time.” Mithun replied, “Maybe if you had not done this, he would not have become a legend.” Let us tell you that Mithun has received three National Film Awards, Mithun's last Bollywood appearance was in the controversial film The Kashmir Files directed by Vivek Agnihotri. He has been primarily associated with Bengali films, his latest role is of being a director in Suman Ghosh's Kabuliwala (2023).
