Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha are two of the best stars of Bollywood. Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan were also very good friends of their time. Both of them did many films together in the 1970s and 1980s. In a recent interview, Shatrughan Sinha talked about his rivalry with Amitabh Bachchan and also talked about a special fight scene between them from the 1979 action drama film 'Kaala Patthar'.
Because of this, there was an argument between Big B and Shatrughan Sinha
Recently, Shatrughan Sinha shared in his latest interview that a fight sequence in the film Kaala Patthar was changed in favor of Amitabh Bachchan, which he did not like. Recalling the shooting of the film, the actor recalled, “It was not done intentionally. We were shooting cordially. There was a fight scene between me and Amitabh which was choreographed by fight master Shetty. While fighting, at one point, my duplicate falls and their duplicate places a shovel on my duplicate's neck. I was sitting in a corner watching all this because I do not allow any restrictions in the shooting of any film.
Amitabh Bachchan's team permitted to shoot the scene
Shatrughan Sinha admitted that there were some disagreements with Amitabh Bachchan at that time, even though we have been friends since our struggle days. But in those days, there might have been romance or something might have happened at that time. I told him that it was not in the script but Amitabh's team approved this scene.
When the shooting stopped for 4-6 hours
Taking a stand for himself, Shatrughan Sinha told Amitabh Bachchan “This is not what we had discussed. What if Shashi Kapoor is late in coming to stop the fight, my character will be killed, so what is the point of his returning after the interval? Now call it principle or ego, but the invincible character was defeated. The shooting stopped for 4-6 hours and some people did not like it. Eventually, they changed it and there was no decision on who was stronger among us, which was happening in the earlier scenario."
The film Kala Patthar was released in 1979
Kala Patthar is a Hindi-language film made in 1979. The story of this film was inspired by the 1975 Chasnala mine accident in Dhanbad. According to government figures, 375 people were killed in this accident. Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Rakhi Gulzar, Neetu Singh, and Parveen Bobby were seen in the lead roles in this film.
