Sunny Deol will become Sikandar Mirza in the film "Lahore 1947"

After the bumper success of 'Gadar 2', Sunny Deol is suddenly in the headlines. Sunny Deol himself said that he is going to start the next sequel of 'Apne' or 'Yamla Pagla Deewana' very soon. So, discussions about some other films also started with him. Then Aamir Khan also announced the launch of the film "Lahore 1947" with Sunny Deol under the direction of Raj Kumar Santoshi. The poster of this film was to be released in the market on Sunny Deol's birthday, but it did not happen. It was revealed from reliable sources that the poster was not launched due to the non-selection of some artists. But many types of news became hot in Bollywood regarding 'Lahore 1947'. However, according to the information we received from sources, the shooting of this film will start in January 2024.

Aamir Khan's 'Lahore 1947': Sunny Deol's Powerful Role

Aamir Khan is producing the film "Lahore 1947" based on the play "Jis Lahore Nahi Dekhya, Woh Janma Hi Nahi" written by Asghar Wajahat on the background of the partition of the country in 1947, which will be directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi. Sunny Deol is going to play the main character in the film. Let us remind you that Pakistan did not like what Asghar Wajahat had written in this play. That is why this play is banned in Pakistan. Because this play depicts the fundamentalism of Pakistan. Some of the reality has been told in the play. In this, the main character is the character of Sikandar Mirza, who is being played by Sunny Deol. In this, against Sikandar Mirza is Ratan's almost seventy-year-old mother. That is going to be played by Shabana Azmi. She is the only Hindu woman, who is living in an old house in Lahore. All the Hindus have been driven away from this area. Therefore, it is believed that this house is vacant, so now this house has been allotted to Sikandar Mirza, from Lucknow. Now the story is that there is a tussle between Sikandar Mirza and this old mother. The old mother does not want to vacate her house and Sikandar Mirza is intent on getting it vacated. But after the interval, Sikandar Mirza emerges as the real hero. If sources are to be believed, Aamir Khan himself may play the role of poet Nasir Kazmi in this film. This is a poet who does not care about fundamentalists.

Raj Kumar Santoshi and Aamir Khan Reunite for 'Gandhi Godse'

Raj Kumar Santoshi has recently produced the film "Gandhi Godse" based on Asghar Wajahat's play. This film did not get the expected success. But Raj Kumar Santoshi has a very old relationship with Asghar Wajahat. Raj Kumar Santoshi wanted to make a film on this play for the last fifteen years, but due to various reasons, he could not get success. But now Aamir Khan has taken up the responsibility of producing this film. Raj Kumar Santoshi has previously directed Sunny Deol with 'Ghayal' in 1990, 'Damini' in 1993, and 'Ghatak' in 1996. Whereas Aamir Khan was directed in 'Andaz Apna Apna' in 1994.

Sunny Deol's Emotional Depth in 'Lahore 1947'

There is a lot of emotional conflict between the old mother and Sikandar Mirza in the film "Lahore 1947". Some people are apprehensive that Sunny Deol, who is an expert in action, will not be able to do emotional scenes. But people forget that Sunny Deol is a strong actor, and in the past too, he has played emotional characters in many films. Similarly, according to sources, Shabana Azmi will be playing the role of Ratan's mother. In the opinion of some people, instead of Shabana Azmi, Kiran Kher or Neena Gupta should be cast in such a role. If sources are to be believed, Aamir Khan has made a lot of changes in the script and added some comedy scenes.

There are discussions that the shooting of this film will start in January and will be released in August 2024.
