These Two MP superstars of Bhojpuri films are on the acid test of elections

The sixth round of Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the country is the acid test on 25th May. In this election, cine lovers are curious about two Bhojpuri superstars. These are Manoj Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Nirahua. Both are contesting the elections on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket and both are outgoing Members of Parliament (MP) of their respective constituencies. Manoj Tiwari is the election candidate from Delhi North East while Nirahua is contesting from Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh). Whatever the results will be on June 4, let's look at the election battle of these two stars, see how many and what kind of obstacles they face –

Manoj Tiwari

There is a tough contest between BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari and AAP-supported Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar on Delhi's North East seat. Both the candidates are from the background of Bihar. There is a large number of North Indians including Bihar here, hence the contest has become Uttaranchal VS Uttaranchal.

Manoj Tiwari is the star who once brought a wave of Bhojpuri films. While singing folk songs, he came to the cinema screen with the film 'Sasura Bada Paise Wala'. Samajwadi Party (SP) had brought him into politics. In 2009, he lost the election from Gorakhpur to Yogi Aditya Nath. Then joined the BJP. Manoj defeated the then Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the elections in 2014 and defeated the AAP party candidate in 2019. He has been the President of Delhi BJP and out of the seven seats of Delhi, the party has trusted only Manoj Tiwari and repeated him. Manoj Tiwari is contesting from Delhi North East seat for the third time.

Manoj Tiwari's opponent Kanhaiya Kumar, who came into the public domain from JNU student politics, is his strong rival. Kanhaiya Kumar, who came into politics with Leftist ideology (CPI), lost the 2019 elections to Giriraj Singh in Begusarai. He has been very active in Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat-Jodo' journey. Congress has fielded Kanhaiya Kumar against Manoj who has the support of other parties including the 'AAP' party.

Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua:

Bhojpuri film superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav 'Nirahua' has also become a screen hero by singing. In 2019, BJP had fielded Nirahua from Azamgarh against two-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav and Nirahua lost his first election. Akhilesh left his parliamentary seat in 2022, then Nirahua won the same lost seat in the by-election and became MP. Dinesh Lal Yadav then won this seat by defeating SP candidate Dharmendra Pratap Yadav. The same Dharmendra Yadav is facing Nirahua this time in 2024.

Azamgarh seat, located at a distance of 200 kilometers from Lucknow, has always been a prestigious seat for the Samajwadi Party. From here, SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, and actress Jaya Prada have been MPs from SP's candidature. This area is considered to be the area of Azam Khan, close to Mulayam Singh Yadav. At this time Nirahua was being seen as the winning candidate in the Modi wave. But these days, Birha singer Vijay Lal Yadav has made the game tough by campaigning against Nirahua. Vijay Lal Yadav is Nirahua's cousin and he started singing Nirahua Birha songs sitting on his bicycle. The competition coming from home has created an atmosphere of hindrance for Dinesh Lal. Because Vijay Lal has a huge fan following in Azamgarh.

The election of May 25 is like an acid test for these two superstars of Bhojpuri films - Manoj Tiwari and Nirahua. Two more superstars (Ravi Kishan and Pawan Singh) who came into politics from Bhojpuri films are also at stake in the elections. At present, what will be the direction of tomorrow's election results of 25th May? It will be known only on 4th June.
