After 30 Years, Sonam Khan Returns to Screen with 'Bigg Boss OTT 3'

Some time ago we wrote in 'Mayapuri' that the glamorous beauty of the 90s screen, Sonam, is currently in Mumbai and is worried about her comeback on screen and she needs an assignment that can give her a comeback. Well, the door for Sonam's comeback has opened. She wanted to start again from the OTT screen and it is from OTT that she is going to get recognition once again. There is news that Sonam is going to make a comeback from the house of 'Bigg Boss OTT 3', which is going to start on 21 June 2024.

Sonam: From 'Tridev' Stardom to Retirement Amidst Personal Journey

Readers will remember that a song from the film 'Tridev' (1989) 'Tirchi Topiwale' was very popular in the 90s. This film starring Sunny Deol, Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, and Madhuri Dixit made Sonam a star overnight. Sonam performed this song on screen in a very glamorous way. Sonam, who became a big star by working in films like 'Tridev', 'Vishwatma', 'Vijay', 'Mitti Aur Sona', etc., had her last film 'Insaniyat' in 1994. She had stopped acting in films after marrying Rajiv Rai, son of producer-distributor Gulshan Rai. Then due to threats of terrorism, the Rai family left India and settled abroad and Sonam moved away from the industry.

Circumstances changed, and the family life of this queen of the silver screen also changed. She started living separately from her husband Rajiv Rai. She has got divorced from him. She has a son Gaurav Rai from Rajiv Rai. After living in many foreign cities (Los Angeles, Switzerland, and others), Sonam has now returned to India. After spending the last two years in Pondicherry, she now wants to be back in Mumbai and work in films. Sonam now wants to become active again and work on screen. 50 years old Sonam has worked a lot on her fitness. She has reduced her weight by 30 kg.

'OTT Big Boss 3' will not be hosted by Salman Khan but Anil Kapoor will be hosting this season. The first season of OTT Big Boss was hosted by Karan Johar and the winner was Divya Agarwal. The winner of the second season was Elvish Yadav. There will be many new and old faces in the third season and Anil Kapoor will give a wonderful performance on its premiere on 21st June. It will be interesting to see how much shine actor Raza Murad's niece and yesteryear star Sonam can create in the Big Boss house after returning to the industry after 30 years!
