JioCinema IPL Expert and former Kolkata Knight Riders star Chris Gayle appeared on JioCinema's Bengali feed, ahead of the TATA IPL 2024 opening fixture between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The Universe Boss turned back the clock to his initial TATA IPL days in the City of Joy, by showing off his Bengali-speaking skills and abilities to croon in Bengali too.

Getting into the groove on Match Centre Live, Gayle tried his best to nail the Bangla tongue twister, 'Jol ey chun taaja, tel ey chul taaja', albeit with a spin of his own to it. After that valiant effort, the star cricketer took it up a notch and sang a portion of the 2007 hit song by Shreya Ghoshal and M. G. Sreekumar, 'Ami Je Tomar', with some Caribbean flavour to it.

Chris Gayle finally signed off, joking about his return to KKR and a message for King Khan, "I am definitely coming back. Shah Rukh Khan, I'm coming back!"
