Disney+ Hotstar Announces 'Life Hill Gayi': A Slice of Life Comedy

Privilege se village ka safar is no less than a suffering! Get ready to witness a hilarious journey of two entitled siblings - Dev and Kalki in Disney+ Hotstar’s upcoming series - Life hill Gayi as they are challenged to prove their mettle for their grandfather’s estate and all hell breaks loose! The sassy, classy and massy slice of life series is produced by Aarushi Nishank, Himshrri films directed by Prem Mistry and written by Jasmeet Singh Bhatia, stars the digital sensation Kusha Kapila as Kalki and the hilarious Divyenndu as Dev along with Vinay Pathak, Mukti Mohan among others. Life hill Gayi will soon begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.

Aarushi Nishank Praises Relatable Comedy Drama 'Life Hill Gayi'

Producer of Life Hill Gayi, Aarushi Nishank, Himshrri films said, “Life Hill Gayi is a relatable comedy drama set in the heartland of India. Our idea was to birth a world that is relatable, light-hearted, and edgy. Along with it, having my roots in Uttarakhand itself, I always wanted to show the beauty of this state to the world and this show offers just a sneak peek into the heaven Uttarakhand is! We have the dream team with Prem Mistry on the director’s chair with Kusha Kapila and Divyenndu taking on sibling characters and Disney+ Hotstar bringing this world to all.”

Director Prem Mistry on 'Life Hill Gayi': Heartland Drama with a Twist

Talking about the series, Director Prem Mistry said, “Life hill Gayi is a heartland drama but with a twist. Universally, siblings are known to have a chaotic yet emotional relationship. For the first time, the audiences will see a story such as this unfold in a rural setting with Kusha Kapila and Divyenndu coming from the most privileged background and joining the fight as siblings. Kusha Kapila on 'Life Hill Gayi': "Kalki's Real and Flawed Character"

Joining a heartland drama for the first time ever, Kalki aka Kusha Kapila said, “I love Kalki’s character since it’s a very well-rounded extension of entertaining but flawed characters I have often done as a creator. When Disney+ Hotstar’s Life Hill Gayi happened, the script and the ensemble really got me excited. To share space with such renowned actors who are so dearly loved is a dream come true. Add to that I love that Kalki’s character is not one dimensional - she is real, flawed, and has a redemption arc that honestly is really refreshing to see. Taking on the role of Dev, Divyenndu added, “The audience has shown me a lot of love and appreciation seeing me do a comical character and I wanted to give them another surprise of my comedy and that’s what Life Hill Gayi is!
