The world premiere of Prime Video's film 'Dry Day'

Famous actor, writer, and director Saurabh Shukla has directed a film "Dry Day" starring Jitendra Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Anu Kapoor, which will be streamed on 'Prime Video' as India's original Hindi film from December 22. It will be released in which people can watch the dubbed version in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

At the center of the story of the entertaining and humorous film 'Dry Day' is a small-time goon named Gannu (Jitendra Kumar), who sets out on a journey against the system. Amidst this emotional mission to gain the trust and love of his loved ones, Gannu not only faces external challenges but also struggles with his personal insecurities and alcohol problems.

A small-town story with a flawed hero

Commenting on the premiere of ‘Dry Day’, Aparna Purohit, Head of Prime Video, India Originals, said – “We are dedicated to bringing authentic and romantic stories deeply rooted in our culture to diverse audiences in India and beyond. ‘Dry Day’ is a proof of our commitment. The film is a social satire

Producer Nikhil Advani on behalf of Emmy Entertainment says, “The film ‘Dry Day’ is a social satire presented with a humorous tragic-comedy of bizarre mistakes with lots of drama and emotions. ‘Dry Day’ delivers an important and relatable message about the evils of alcohol, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to make this film. The latest addition to the Prime membership 

Directed by Saurabh Shukla and produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani of Emmy Entertainment, the film stars Jitendra Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Anu Kapoor in pivotal roles. ‘Dry Day’ will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on December 22 in Hindi and with dubs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada in over 240 countries and territories. This movie is the latest addition to the Prime membership. Prime members in India have enjoyed savings, convenience, and entertainment for 1499 rupees.
