Film Review: 'Ameena' shows the changing picture of women's struggle

Kumar Raj Production's new film 'Ameena' - presents a comparative picture of women's struggle. Based on the book of nationally honored writer Aftab Hasnain, this film shows the condition of women through a play that even after decades, there has been no change in the men's view of them, only the punishment process has changed. Before 'Ameena', producer-director Kumar Raj's film 'Tara: The Journey of Love and Passion' has received awards in many honor ceremonies.

Powerful Play 'Yahan Ameena Bikti Hai'

A play is going on in Prithvi Theater 'Yahan Ameena Bikti Hai'. The girl playing the main character in this play, Meena, is a young girl with today's thinking. In the play, she is living the character of Ameena, a girl of the same age 32 years ago. Ameena, the daughter of a poor father, was sold by her father to an 80-year-old Arab for money. She was raped and the rapists took advantage of the laxity of the law and went free. The same incident happened with today's girl Meena, who portrays the same character. Similarly, the incident happens… Then how does today's girl take this incident in today's circumstances? This is an important question that shocks the audience after watching the film 'Ameena'.

In the film 'Ameena', the role of Meena and Ameena is played by Rekha Rana, who has previously done 'Tara - The Journey of Love and Passion'. Rekha Rana has played both the roles with great effort. Ananth Mahadevan, Utkarsh Kohli, Kumar Raj, etc. are the other actors in the film. Kumar Raj has been impressive in the small role of the Police Commissioner. The film gives a great message.

Kumar Raj is the producer and director of the film 'Ameena'. Dharam Jaiswal is the co-producer. The film releases across India on 12 April 2024.
