Story:
The story of the film revolves around an honest and hardworking TTE of Indian Railways, Radhey Mohan Sharma (R Madhavan). This is the story of the frustration of a man who is not ready to bow down against corruption. He is hardworking and is an expert in mathematics. His wife has left him. He is living a simple life with his eight-year-old son. But his life is turned upside down when he finds a discrepancy of Rs 27.50 in his account of 'Do Bank'. This discrepancy seems like a small mistake in the beginning, but very soon it proves to be a clue of a very big corruption. Radhey Mohan investigates the whole thing in his own way and then he investigates the bank accounts of 150 people and accuses Do Bank of corruption of more than Rs 22 lakh. Due to which Radhey Mohan Sharma and Do Bank's owner Mickey Mehta (Neil Nitin Mukesh) come face to face. Mickey Mehta is a shrewd banker who has committed a big financial fraud. Mickey Mehta is a manipulative and ruthless man. Whereas Radhey Mohan is a man who believes in honesty and morality.
Slowly Radhey tries to get to the bottom of this scam, and gradually he finds out that Mickey Mehta has been cleverly cheating his bank's four crore account holders. Radhey understands how this institution is cheating the common people. When the police refuses to write Radhey's complaint, Radhey Mohan approaches the court to investigate the financial fraud against 'Do Bank'. When Mickey gets a notice from the court, he turns the police to his side with the help of Dayal (Manu Rishi Chaddha) and the Police Commissioner assigns the investigation to a woman police officer P. Subhash, who was once failed by Radhey Mohan. P. Subhash (Kirti Kulhari) ) Asking tough questions in front of her colleagues, she hints to Radhe Mohan that she will now settle her old scores with him. But P Subhash tells in his report that what Radhe said is true.
But the police commissioner changes that report and presents it in the court and vindicates the bank and Mickey Mehta. On the basis of this report, the court sentences Radhe Mohan to one day in jail. After spending one day in jail, Radhe Mohan emails his entire investigation report to the Reserve Bank governor Ranganathan. Ranganathan wants to know the truth from Mickey Mehta, then on the advice of Dayal, Mickey, by bribing the government officials with his money power, harasses Radhe Mohan in many ways including getting his house demolished, getting him removed from the job etc. Not only this, one night Mickey along with his associates reaches the road to harass Radhe and his son, then many sanitation workers gather there and protest against Mickey. After that Radhe Mohan Sharma, P Subhash and many sanitation workers together succeed in sending Mickey and Dayal to their right place i.e. jail.
Review
Many films and web series have been made on scams in Bollywood. Now Ashwni Dhir has brought the film 'Hisaab Barabar' on the scam being done by the bank with the common people. Despite being a very simple story, 'Hisaab Barabar' emerges as an entertaining film due to the agile writing and direction of Ashwni Dhir. But this film, which talks about financial exploitation, moves forward at a very slow pace. After half of the film is over, it gains momentum and thrilling moments are also created in the story. Only then the audience is able to connect with this film. This is the weakness of the writer and director. The way Mickey Mehta, the owner of a bank, comes out on the road with his platoon to intimidate Radhe Mohan, it looks very strange. Although Ashwni Dhir has mastered working on such subjects with a humorous style, but somewhere in the beginning of this film he has missed it. This film inspires every common and poor person to raise their voice for their rights, no matter how difficult that task may seem. Integrity and flexibility have also been examined in the film. The satirical dialogues of the film contribute in maintaining the seriousness of the subject matter. Ashwni Dhir should be praised for successfully raising the issues of corruption, wealth inequality and the struggle of the little man in India in his film Hisaab Barabar. But he has completely managed to keep himself away from preaching.
Acting
R Madhavan's performance as Radhe Mohan Sharma, an honest railway TTE who talks about morality, is superb. His performance as a common man who is passionate about mathematics and starts a campaign against financial scams is strong. R Madhavan brings authenticity as well as depth to the character through his acting. Kirti Kulhari's performance as police officer P Subhash is superb. Kirti Kulhari has succeeded in giving the story a grounded and emotional strength through her acting. Neil Nitin Mukesh is a bit disappointing in the small role of the film's villain Mickey Mehta. He should be seen as a crooked banker, but he emerges as a very bad banker. His portrayal of this character is also beyond comprehension. Rashami Desai, Rajesh Jaiswal, Himanshu Malik and Yogesh Tripathi manage to attract people even in small roles. I have been successful.
