Lakshmi and Srinivas Chase Dreams After 35 Years
The story revolves around Lakshmi and Srinivas, a couple who have spent 35 years in a rented house, nurturing two dreams close to their hearts: owning a home of their own and seeing their children settled happily. As they finally begin taking steps towards these long-cherished goals, life throws unexpected challenges their way, putting their bonds and belief in family to the test.

Adding to the emotional fabric of the show is Akshita Mudgal, who essays the role of Radhika, Lakshmi, and Srinivas’s elder daughter. While Radhika’s journey is rooted in family values and sacrifices, the actress has also found a special connection on set with the show’s youngest member, child actor Kessar Kansara, who plays Nia. Their scenes together bring out a warm, motherly instinct, creating moments that feel real, tender, and deeply emotional.
Speaking about her bond with Kessar, Akshita Mudgal shared, “It’s been so much fun shooting with Kessar. She’s such a sweet kid, and honestly, the bond feels very natural. Recently, for a scene, her mother told me to get upset with her, and I felt so bad because whatever I say, good or strict, it impacts her the most. In the scene, I had to scold her, and she immediately started crying. We recorded the shot, and right after that, I ran to her to pacify her, to say sorry, and make her feel okay again. Even later, I kept checking on her.”

She added, “She’s the youngest on set, so she’s everyone’s jaan. And for me, I feel every woman has that motherly instinct somewhere within her. I’m really happy that I’m getting a chance to live that motherhood on screen. Nia is not actually Radhika’s daughter in the story, but in many ways, she is. When she’s with me on set, she naturally becomes my responsibility. Even if her mother is around, she depends on me a lot, and I think those feelings come through naturally on screen too.”
