Dheeraj Dhoopar: “Who says men can’t wear Pink?”

Dheeraj Dhoopar who has been winning hearts as Subhaan in Zee TV’s Rabb Se Hai Dua, recently posted a picture of his look from the wedding track on the show that has had his fans go weak in the knees. The heartthrob who is known for his “good looks, good looks and good looks” has always brought his A-game when it comes to fashion and style. This time around, he is setting a new trend yet again with his unconventional choice of colour. His social media post features the TV star in an all-Pink ensemble, one that is often associated with softness and femininity. However, now there has been a shift in perception amongst the younger generation. Mindsets have begun to evolve with fashion icons challenging traditional norms and trying on colours and styles that are gender-agnostic. Here, Dheeraj busts the gender stereotype, donning a beautiful bright pink colored Sherwani, a pink salwar and matching pink mojris for the wedding track in the show.

Dheeraj Dhoopar said, “I don’t think that a colour should be associated with a particular gender. I love experimenting with my looks on screen and who said men can’t pull off pink? Fashion is all about expressing yourself and breaking boundaries. Wearing pink is my way of showing that style knows no gender, and everyone should feel free to wear what makes them feel confident and happy.”

While Dheeraj certainly nailed the pink ensemble, in the upcoming episodes of the show, it will be interesting for viewers to watch if Mannat accepts Ibaadat and Subhaan’s Nikaah. Is Subhaan really in love with Ibaadat or is it for the sake of his Dua ammi (Raymon Kakar) that he is getting married to her?
