Actress Madirakshi Mundle, who plays the role of Shaina in Mrinal Abhigyan Jha Productions Qayamat se Qayamat Tak, says that the show is doing really well. It has completed its first milestone of 50 episodes, and the actress couldn’t be happier.

Cosmic Romance: Exploring New Depths in a Negative Lead

“I think the title rolls off the tongue very easily. The title is very unique and gives off very cosmic vibes. It is a story about 2 star-crossed souls made for each other and has all the trappings of a very modern-day story,” she says, adding, “My role is very different from all the previous roles I’ve played. It is a negative female lead which I was keen to play given her background in the story. That itself is a stark contrast from the kind of roles I’ve played before. It also marks my association with Colors TV which commands huge audiences across the world.”

Talking about her character, she says, “Shaina is the negative lady lead and comes from a privileged background. So, her attitude, costumes, and look are all very expensive. She is a super glamorous character and has lived abroad before moving to her husband’s family home post-marriage. Haha! I can relate to the characters in bits and pieces but am loving playing the negative lead with her fancy sarees, sharp dialogues, and modern views.”

Ask her what has been the most memorable scene in the last 50 episodes, she says,  the first reveal for Shaina as the negative character happened!".

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak: 50 Episodes Celebration on Colors TV

Talking about the atmosphere on set, she says, “I think it is a normal set in the sense we are all work colleagues and are cordial and friendly towards each other and catch up in between shots and during breaks. The atmosphere is light and fun. Though given that it is currently 45 mins an episode, things do get rather hectic. However, it’s work and I love it.”

Talking about working with MAJ Productions (Abhigyan and Mrinal Jha), she says, “It is my maiden association with them. They are generous and very appreciative of my work as Shaina and so it gives me immense satisfaction that the character was brought to life as created and conceptualized.”

Ask her what is the best part of her being part of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, and she says, “It has established that I can bring different kinds of characters to life including extremely negative ones despite not having played them before. I am thankful for all the warm and wonderful appreciation I’ve received as Shaina. It has expanded the reach of my work and helped me add an exciting new chapter to my repertoire and range as an actress.”
