Sony SAB’s Veer Hanuman: Lord Hanuman Saves Ram Using Sacred Ittar in a Heroic Act

Sony SAB’s ‘Veer Hanuman’ continues to captivate audiences with the story of the journey of young Hanuman. Featuring Aan Tiwari as the young Lord Hanuman, Sayli Salunkhe as Anjani, Arav Chowdharry as Kesari, Mahir Pandhi in dual role as Bali and Sugreev and Tanmay Rishi as young Lord Ram, the show now reaches a dramatic and heartfelt new chapter. In the recent episodes, viewers witnessed the emotional first meeting between Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram. Assured that his mother would return soon, Lord Hanuman leaves Ayodhya with joy—but back in Kishkinda, Anjani is still missing. Confused and heartbroken, he questions Lord Ram’s words and sets out to meet him again.

Veer Hanuman Selfless Devotion Saves Ram

In the upcoming episodes, Lord Indra (Meer Ali) and the Ashwini Kumar’s believe that Lord Hanuman still has much to learn about true devotion, that real bhakti comes without expectation. To test him, they secretly add a harmful substance to a bottle of ittar being prepared for Lord Ram. Just before the offering reaches Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, sensing something is amiss, applies the ittar on himself, shielding his Aradhya from harm. This moment becomes a turning point in Hanuman’s journey. Though unaware that he is being tested, he acts out of pure love. By taking the pain upon himself, he proves that true devotion is not about seeking rewards, but about selfless surrender. Silently observing this act, Lord Shiva (Tarun Khanna) recognizes that Hanuman has moved one step closer to becoming the devotee he is destined to be.

Tarun Khanna, who plays the role of Lord Shiva in Veer Hanuman, said, “Portraying Lord Shiva is both a responsibility and a blessing. This scene, where Lord Hanuman unknowingly takes the pain upon himself to protect Lord Ram, is not just powerful on screen — it moved me deeply as an actor and as a devotee. I’m a staunch follower of both Hanuman ji and Mahadev, so I can genuinely connect with the emotions and devotion behind such moments. In fact, scenes like these often feel like a Satsang to me. I never use glycerin for emotional scenes — just the thought of Shiv ji and Hanuman ji brings tears to my eyes. This moment truly captures the essence of real bhakti — selfless, unconditional, and pure. Watching Hanuman take that step closer to becoming the greatest devotee is something I feel privileged to witness through my role.”
