1.    Tell us about the upcoming Ganesh sequence in ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav’?
A.    In the upcoming sequence of ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav’ explores themes of duty, misunderstanding, forgiveness and the consequences of actions in the divine realm. Where Ganesh while guarding his mother Parvati during the bath, denies entry to Mahadev, leading to a fierce conflict. Mahadev, angered by Ganesh's defiance, storms away and later returns with Nandi and the ganas, resulting in a battle where Ganesh defeats many of them. Eventually, Mahadev, enraged, severs Ganesh's head. That’s when Parvati, horrified and heartbroken, transforms into Kali, threatening to destroy the world.

2.    Did you do any preparations for the upcoming sequence playing a mother?
A.    Yes, I have played the role of a mother on the show before, being the mother to Kartikeya, so it's not entirely new to me. However, when it comes to preparing for this upcoming sequence and finding inspiration, I draw a lot from my own mother. Her strength and nurturing nature guide me in portraying Parvati's emotions authentically. Working with Riyansh Dabhi, who plays Ganesh, naturally brings out the maternal instincts in me, making it easier to connect with the character on a deeper level.

3.    How has it been shooting with Riyansh Dabhi? Please tell us about the bond you share with him off-screen?
A.    Shooting with Riyansh Dabhi has been an absolute delight. He is not only a talented actor but also very cute and brings a lot of positive energy to the set. Off-screen, we share a great bond, often chatting and laughing together during breaks and he teaches me some fun things like magic and games. His enthusiasm and friendly nature make working together a wonderful experience.

4.    You have played many shades in this character, which one is your favorite?
A.    I think it's been amazing playing all the shades of this character, whether it's Kali Roop, Raudra Roop, Sati, or Parvati. Each shade has a special message and story behind it, and being part of this show has taught me many things. I truly believe all the shades are integral to the story. For instance, playing Kali allowed me to showcase the goddess's rage and power on screen. Meanwhile, portraying Parvati, especially in the upcoming track, gives me a chance to experience motherhood. Each aspect of the character brings its own unique challenges and rewards, making it hard to pick a favourite.

5.    Actors in mythology shows often face the risk of being typecast due to the nature of their roles. What are your thoughts on this?
A.    No, I don't think so. Breaking free from typecasting is all about displaying one’s versatility. I'm happy that with this character I’m getting to showcase a range of emotions. I have received recognition for my role and it’s gratifying that all our efforts are getting appreciated.
