Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota has enjoyed every aspect of life. He has also sung excellent bhajans while being immersed in the devotion of God. Along with this, he has also been a part of many controversies by being a part of the biggest TV show, 'Bigg Boss 15'.

Today, on 29th July, Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota is celebrating his 71st birthday. Apart from Bhajans, Anup Jalota is now an actor and musician. In India, he is named Bhajan Samrat. Anup was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2012.

Anup called Jasleen perfect marriage material in the TV show 'Bigg Boss 15'

Many pictures of Anup and Jasleen went viral on social media, in which both Jasleen and Anup were seen wearing wedding clothes. After which he said in an interview that Jasleen seems to be perfect marriage material to him, because her nature is very calm. Along with this, she knows very well how to take care of everyone.

It was being said that Anup might marry Jasleen as his second wife, as Medha Gujral passed away in 2014. But then Anup put an end to the whole controversy by saying that she is my student, we were just doing this drama for 'Bigg Boss 15'.

3. Mali Chaadar Odh Ke

4. Rang De Chunariya

In this bhajan, Anup Jalota said that Shyam, please colour my chunariya in such a way that the colour does not fade. In this, the love of Lord Krishna and Radha is expressed.

The love of Meera and Krishna has been described in the hymn.

Sumeet Tappoo and Anup Jalota's Album 'Legacy' a runaway success

He also performed at several spiritual events, including Krishnarth at ISKCON and Studio Refuel’s bhajan evenings, earning praise for keeping traditional music alive. Later that year, he moved into a new home and opened up about a fresh phase of energy and inspiration in his life.

In early 2025, Jalota headlined the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj with two special releases—Mahakumbh Katha and Kumbh Aarti. In March, he performed at Jhankar Season 6 in Hyderabad and spoke out against turning bhajans into pop songs, stressing the need to preserve their spiritual essence.
