During the divorce proceedings, it was revealed that Shivani Taneja was not legally married to Deepak, because Shivani's marriage was already registered with someone else. During the investigation, Deepak's lawyer found that Shivani's first marriage was still legally valid, and she had not divorced her first husband. Deepak was shocked to know this information. He could not believe that the woman whom he had been living with for 20 years, considering her his wife, was not his legal wife at all.

How serious did the situation become for Deepak Tijori?

This revelation not only left Deepak Tijori emotionally shaken but also put a question mark on his legal rights. After filing a case against Shivani, Deepak had to face a long legal battle to protect his relationship and his rights.
Deepak said in his statement that he had always believed Shivani and supported her as his wife, but after this revelation, he felt cheated. He said, "I never imagined that something like this would happen in my life. I believe that Shivani is my wife, and we spent so many years together. But it was all a hoax."

 Shivani Taneja has also given her clarification in this matter. She says that she spent 20 years with Deepak and there was a deep relationship between the two. She told that her first marriage was a mistake, and she had tried to end it but the matter was not settled legally yet. Shivani says that Deepak was aware of this situation, but both of them had decided to keep their relationship. She accused Deepak that he is now trying to tarnish her image by highlighting this issue.
