Mahadev actor Mohit Raina is celebrating his birthday today i.e. on 14th August. Know some special things about him on this occasion:

How did you become a part of 'The Freelancer'?

Mohit: I got a call from Neeraj Pandey's casting team. I met him during 'Special Ops' but I couldn't be a part of that project then. After this, if I did any work, I would send it to sir so that he wouldn't forget me and one day suddenly I got a call from his team. When I talked to Neeraj sir, he said that we haven't started writing it yet, so will you be a part of it? Now I am telling the truth, this is the first such project of my life for which I agreed to work without reading or knowing anything.

You played the role of Shiv Ji on TV for a long time and you received a lot of love for it. You must still be getting it. What would you say about that?

Mohit: These things settle in the minds of the audience and you can never remove them. The audience's connection with an actor is on a very different level. I have received a lot of love from people because of that character and all an actor needs is love. Their love takes my every project forward.

How easy or difficult was it for you to play your character in the series?

Mohit: Neeraj sir's vision was such that he didn't want me to do much homework, so that was easy. The difficult part was to go on the set and believe in yourself without knowing what you have to do because you haven't done your homework!

How do you feel when you hear a negative rumor or read false news about yourself? Does it matter to you?

Mohit: I think this is a part of our work. We know that people can question our life. You understand that there will be some advantages and disadvantages in this line. When you understand that the disadvantages will be less and the advantages will be more, then it stops mattering to you because nobody forced you, you yourself came into this line. I take these things as a 'pinch of salt'.

How was the experience of working with Anupam Kher?

Mohit: Very good! When I had just come to Mumbai, I had also gone to his acting school. He is my acting guru. There was a little pressure in working with him because he has worked a lot. Just being in the frame with him is a big thing. Before doing a scene with him, I memorized my lines so that I don't forget them in the middle.

Be it serials or films, you have worked in all of them. Many times we have heard that when an actor switches from serials to films, he is treated differently. Has something like this ever happened to you?

Mohit: No, nothing like this has ever happened to me. I think I have been lucky in this matter. Because of the digital world, people's perspective of looking at actors has changed. What you are saying might have happened earlier if people had said this, but it never happened to me. I have always received love, otherwise, I would not be sitting here today, and I would not be working with such big people.
