Aa gale lag jaa? "It was like getting 'Lifetime Achievement Zee Cine Award'," reacts tearful Chunky Panday after beti Ananya Pandey hugged him, following their surprise-dance. by Chaitanya Padukone

Besides their dazzling presence of celebs on the "Purple Carpet', and the captivating entertainment music-dance acts, there were exciting surprise sentimental twists galore at the star-studded spectacular Zee Cine Awards, held at Worli NSCI Dome, Mumbai.

Among the top celeb stars awardees and guests were top-lead-actors and style-icons including handsome Kartik Aryan, ravishing Rashmika Mandanna, tantalizing Tamannah Bhatia, glam-icon Jacqueline Fernandez, awesome Ananya Panday, macho Tiger Shroff, regional super-star tough-man  Ravi Kishan, dynamic Aparshakti Khurana, , vivacious Vaani Kapoor, charismatic Vikrant Massey, wonder-girl Pratibha Ranta, the evergreen macho Lord Bobby Deol and rugged hero Suniel Shetty. talented music duo Sachin-Jigar and, of course, the 'Aakhri Paasta' 'ageless' star actor Chunky Pandey.

When graceful, agile Ananya Panday came to perform her live dance-act on stage, as part of the 'suspense-build-up', she said she was paying a song-dance tribute to someone iconic. Whom she had always adored since childhood, and who had also inspired her all the way. Papa Chunky Panday, who was seated in the elite audience (with celeb-wife Bhavana), told me that initially he presumed that she was possibly referring to superstar Shah Rukh Khan---whom she considers as her inspiring legend-icon. .

But as soon as Ananya started performing, Chunky realized to his delightful shock, that she was dancing to his popular film songs like  'Laal Dupattewali'.  A few minutes later, Ananya started dancing to the iconic dance-song  'Mera Dil Tota Ban Jaaye'  and then suddenly the bevy of female-dancers ushered the amazing actor-dancer Chunky onto the stage and urged him, when he was suddenly pulled on the stage,  to dance with star-beti Ananya Panday on stage.

Speaking to me exclusively, the candid yet witty but emotionally-shocked Chunky Panday said, "It was a well-guarded top secret. Frankly, I had absolutely no clue, that I would be required to dance on stage. I did not even know that Ananya would be dancing to few of my evergreen dance songs as a special 'from-beti-to-baap' tribute to me. Suddenly, when  I was ushered onto the stage, they started playing my evergreen dance song Mera Dil Tota Ban Jaaye, and I was coaxed to dance, with Ananya. Can you imagine that without any rehearsals, I was dancing for this international Zee Cine Awards live show  It was an unexpected twist, an 'emotional shock' for me and I am not-a-joking. Because the elevating experience of dancing extempore on stage with my off-screen 'home-production' daughter Ananya, was almost like winning a lifetime achievement Zee Cine Award. It made up for all the Awards, that I missed so far in my acting career," said Chunky, with tears in his eyes while speaking exclusively to me,

Must mention here that I have personally known Chunky, even before the release of his debut film as hero titled ' Aag Hi Aag'  !.

Currently while Filmfare Award ( debut) winner Ananya is enjoying the box-office success of her historic bio-pic 'Kesari Chapter 2', and waiting to strike big with her next Karan Johar's romantic thriller movie 'Chand Mera Dil' ( opposite Lakshya), papa Chunky Panday is super-excited about his striking role in Netflix OTT show The Royals, as also his next movie 'showman' producer Sajid Nadiadwala's multi-starrer 'Housefull 5'. Where Suyash ( that's Chunky's real name)  once again plays his famous quirky character 'Aakhri Paasta', this time with a surprise-shocking twist!
