"Joshilay mard ko kabhi dard nahin hota" used to be a catchy retro-filmy dialogue, and star-guests and media may have witnessed this in reality, last night!
Popular TV super-celeb and social media mega-star Munawar Iqbal Faruqui, ( Lock Upp 1 winner and Bigg Boss 17 Winner) celebrated the super-success of his recently released show-series period thriller First Copy, The modest friendly style-icon Munawar, proved once again that commitment, sentiments and professionalism are second nature to him. Despite being in severe muscle-spasm pain the stand-up comic, rapper musician -singer and First Copy lead-actor, Munawar-bhai, made a striking scene-stealer appearance at the show’s success bash held last night — despite being in visible pain.
The First Copy crime thriller series, directed by talented Farhan P. Zamma which based on rampant illegal films-video piracy in the past (during 1990 era) has been garnering immense appreciation from both critics and viewers-audiences on Amazon MX Player and Amazon Prime Video.
The star-studded late night glam-event at resto-bar Zima at Versova which saw almost the entire cast and crew of First Copy in attendance alongside esteemed members of the news-media, was a celebration of the show’s overwhelming response. However, what truly stood out was Munawar’s graceful enduring gesture. The star-artiste Faruqi had suffered a painful muscle pull in his back shortly before the event, leaving him barely able to walk. Apparently, he was in visible discomfort and was also advised to rest.
Yet, true to his word and unwavering in his sense of duty, Munawar made it a point to attend. He showed up, interacted warmly with guests, posed for pictures, and celebrated with the team and news-media — all while clearly battling pain.. His popular co-stars were seen lauding his grit and dedication and endurance-power.. In show-biz where last-minute cancellations are common, Munawar’s act of showing up — even while physically struggling — is a reminder of the kind of joshila professional he is.
Speaking to me, Munawar-bhai said, " Its so heartening that following the terrific success of Season 1, we are also almost ready with Season 2 of First Copy. What I loved about my image-defying character Arif as the video-piracy boss, is that it has grey-negative shades. It allowed me to step out of my comfort-zone to prove my versatile calibre.. Millions of my loyal fans are simply loving my performance," said a joyous Munawar!
