Famous singer Lata Mangeshkar has fans all over the world but surprisingly, many people do not know that she was a big fan of the TV show CID, which aired on Sony TV for almost 20 years since the year 1998. It aired from 2007 to 2018 and was one of her favorite shows. She often invited the cast of the show to her home and discussed the show with them.

Used to watch the show the whole day

In the inaugural episode of 'Kahaani Ki Kahaniyaan' with Lakshya Maheshwari, Dayanand Shetty, who played Daya in the show, said that Lata Mangeshkar used to watch CID not just on weekends, but every day. He said, "Lata ji's dedication was such that she used to sit in her room the whole day watching the show and she was very fond of photography. So she would take her phone and take close-up shots of ACP and other actors and she would send it to them personally. She used to take four to five pictures every day.”

Called Sony's head office

Dayanand revealed how Lata Mangeshkar was upset after the show went off air and decided to call the head office in the United States. He said, "Even when the show went off the air, she and her family... everyone asked, 'Why did the show go off the air?' I watch it, it's my favorite show. She also called in America, where Sony has its office. She told them, 'This is our favorite show, it's doing well and a lot of people watch it.'

She was curious and observant

Aditya Srivastava, who played the role of Inspector Abhijeet, said that whenever the crew came to her house, she was curious and asked a lot of questions. “She will become a child with us,” he said. She also used to give us feedback. She would watch the show and analyze who had become fat or thin and if anyone was unhealthy."
